Each month, a different artist displays his/her work on the second floor of City Hall. Our volunteer arts commissioner, George Schlegel arranges for an artist to display paintings, water colors, charcoals, acrylics, sculptures and other moldings for you to enjoy or purchase.
Come by and visit our displays or call City Hall to see how you can help bring this and other art to Roeland Park.
You have an opportunity to see a wide array of photography from 3 De Soto photographers; Carrie Dvorak, Jim Walker, and Rose Burgweger on Sunday, June 13th, 2:00PM - 5:00PM, at the Roeland Park City Hall, 4600 W 51st.
Carrie specializes in "Nature" but has done architecture photography, people and events. Not only has she displayed her photography around the Kansas City area but several photographs have been featured in Kansas! Magazine and calendar.
Jim specializes in Kansas rural scenes and landscape, but also enjoys shooting seascapes and black and white. Jim will have new 2010 prairie burn-scapes from Cottonwood Falls, KS, plus a wide variety of note cards and matted prints. He also hopes to have his most recent Smoky Mountains National Park photography on display.
Rose specializes in rural and inspirational De Soto scenes and you will see her greeting cards, calendars, and book markers throughout the metropolitan area.
Join us for appetizers, soft drinks, fellowship, and great photography.
