The City of Roeland Park is chartered under Kansas statute as a City of
the Second Class, and it operates as a Mayor/Council/ Administrator form
of government. The mayor is elected at-large and serves a four-year
term. Two councilmembers are elected from each of the city's four wards
and serve staggered four-year terms. As a legislative body, the City Council is responsible for the enactment of local laws, the adoption of the annual City Budget and Capital Improvement Program, and the review and adoption of proposed policies, agreements, contracts and other City business items. The City Council generally meets on the first and third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Click picture for link to bio page |
