Roeland Park requires any business operating within the
city limits to obtain a business license - even if that business is already
licensed in another municipality.
We require all businesses located within the City to obtain a business
Occupation License.

Businesses operated out of the home (Home Occupations)

Administrative/Retail Businesses.

Drinking establishments

Liquor stores

Businesses selling cereal malt beverages

Arborist/Pesticide Companies

Security Companies

Solid Waste Providers

Contractors doing work within the City that requires a building
permit

Contractors or utility companies performing work in the City
Rights-of-Way
Residential Landlords (single & multi-family)
Landlords who own residential property in the City and receive
rental income must obtain a Rental License from the City.
