KPERS/KPF:

KPERS Retirement Plan
Eligible employees are enrolled in the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS). Each employee contributes 6% (4% for Tier I) of his/her total salary. This amount is withheld from every payment to the employee for salary/wages. The City contributes to KPERS a percent of the wages paid to eligible employees, the amount of City contribution is calculated by the KPERS Board.
KPF Retirement Plan
Eligible employees are enrolled in the Kansas Police and Fire Retirement System (KPF). Each employee contributes 7% of his/her total salary. This amount is withheld from every payment to the employee for salary/wages. The City contributes to KPF a percent of the wages paid to eligible employees, the amount of City contribution is calculated by the KPERS Board.
