Ward 2 Councilmember: Michael Rhoades
Current Term: May 2014 – April 2017
Councilmember Rhoades is a graduate of Bishop Miege High School and UMKC where he received a B.A. in Studio Art. He has been a real estate professional in the Greater Kansas City area for over 10 years. Councilmember Rhoades has been married to his wife Tiffany for 11 years, and they have 2 beautiful children, 8 and 5.
As a resident and now Council member with deep family roots in Roeland Park, Councilmember Rhoades is committed to doing everything he can to make Roeland Park the best it can be for all residents, businesses, and visitors. Councilmember Rhoades states he will help the city continue to prosper, and help polish the “Diamond in the Rough” of Northeast Johnson County that is our home.
Michael Rhoades was elected on May 13, 2014 in a special election to fill the vacant Ward 2 seat on the City Council. Mr. Rhoades was sworn into office on May 19, 2014 and will serve through the unexpired term (April, 2017).
