Elections & Voting

April  2013 – a general election will be held to elect  one Councilmember from each of the four wards If you have any questions regarding these elections, please contact Debra Mootz, Roeland Park City Clerk, at 913-722-2600.For more information about county, state, and national elections, go to the Johnson County Election Office or the Johnson County Polling Locator. To register you must be:

  • A U.S. citizen
  • A resident of Kansas
  • Eighteen before the next statewide general election
An application form can be obtained in the City Clerk’s office, 4600 W 51st Street, during normal business hours or you may print the application from the Johnson County Election Office Web site.

Second Class City Filing Requirements

2nd Class City candidates must have 1% of ballots cast in the district at the last general city election or 50 signatures, whichever is less.
