New Side Walks and Bus stop on Roe Boulevard and Johnson Drive

As part of the U.S. Department of Transportation Tiger Grant, sidewalks are starting to be installed on the west cloverleaf (future site of Commerce Bank) and east cloverleaf (city owned property).  This will complete the sidewalks down Roe Boulevard and on the west side connect to the house business on Johnson Drive.  It is estimated that these sidewalks will cost around $60,000 to install and those costs are being completed covered by this Recovery Act Tiger Grant.

Additionally there will be a new bus stop constructed on the northwest Cloverleaf on the north side of Johnson Drive.  It is estimated this stop will be open by this spring.

Johnson County Stormwater Weblink Updates

JOCO Recycles website.  Julie and her co-workers have added some fun new videos that promote proper disposal of household hazardous waste and yard waste, which keep our storm drains clean.

Johnson County AIMs Stormwater Network.   The Johnson County AIMs department has mapped the open channel and piped system throughout Johnson County.  This network can be used by staff to aid in illicit discharge investigations and by residents to see how where Stormwater goes from their property. This one can be modified so that when you open it up it is centered on your city.
