Torso

 

The inspiration for my sculpture “torso” comes from my interest in experimenting with shapes and forms and how they fit together. The eight foot sculpture was carved out of Styrofoam, then covered with layers of cement and painted.

 

 

Bio

 

I was raised on a farm just outside of Unionville, Missouri. I graduated from  Putnam Co R-1 High School in Unionville. After graduation, I attended Maple Woods Community College and then decided to transfer to Kansas City Art Institute, where I am currently a junior in the Sculpture Department.
