National Night Out -
On Tuesday, August 4th, neighborhoods throughout
Roeland Park are being invited to join forces for the “26th
Annual National Night Out.”
National Night Out is designed
to:
1. heighten
crime and drug prevention awareness;
2. generate
support for and participation in local anticrime efforts;
3. strengthen
neighborhood spirit and community policing partnerships; and
4. send
a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are
organized and fighting back.
From 7 to 10 pm on August 4th, residents of neighborhoods
through-out Roeland Park are asked to lock their doors, turn
on outside lights and spend the evening outside with
neighbors and police.
Officer Peter and the Roeland Park Police are planning to
hold an event in the Police parking lot beginning at 6 pm
with games, hot dogs and chips, and end with a Night Out
Walk. Come join
our march to stomp out crime and promote awareness.
