The City of Roeland Park is seeking interested residents in Ward 1 to apply to be a member of our Planning Commission. The Planning Commission currently meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. to review issues related to Chapter 16 of the City Code on Planning and Zoning issues. If you’re interested, please complete a volunteer application and submit your resume, preferably via email, to Kelley Bohon.
Time Commitment: Planning Commission generally requires about 2-4 hours per month.
Qualifications: Must be a Roeland Park resident residing in Ward 1 and at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications: Residents with expertise in city planning, architecture, real estate, engineering or development are encouraged to apply.

Selection Process: Ward 1 Council Members Becky Fast and Sheri McNeil will make the final recommendation.
Term: Appointments are made for three year terms that are renewable without limit. This seat would serve the unfulfilled term of a previous Planning Commissioner which will expire December 31, 2019.
